Procom - Contractor Retention Specialist at Procom

This role provides the opportunity to:  

  • Work in a collaborative with several Senior Account Managers to ensure we are retaining talent that is assigned to Clients.  

  • When Contract Workers are ending assignment, make sure that they are prepared for redeployment and presented to the appropriate jobs that are available within Procom 

  • Build a foundation for long-term career growth in a growing, entrepreneurial professional services firm. 

The Role:  

As the Contractor Retention Specialist, you will be responsible for interacting proactively with our active contract workers on payroll to develop a plan for retaining/extending their contract, redeploy them to new client opportunities and improve overall communication to ensure we are providing a best-in-class service.  

Job Responsibilities:   

  • Responsible for interacting proactively with current Procom contract workers that have an assignment expiring within 45 days, and developing a plan for retaining/extending their contract or redeploying them to other jobs if their assignment is ending (i.e. not being extended).   

  • Ensure messaging to Contractors is such that NO workers are incented/motivated to leave current jobs for new jobs at Procom. 

  • Adding appropriate Redeployment Notes to each candidate's profile to manage their assignment through the last 45 days to successfully extend the assignment OR work with the candidate to update their resume to start actively redeploying on new roles 

  • Build Talent Pipelines of new Payrolls to proactively market the talent to existing customers as proven Procom Talent.  The Talent Pipelines will be built in Bullhorn and/or another benching software for easy distribution to Account Managers. 

  • Work closely with the Client Service team and Account Managers to manage the redeployment and retention process.  Proving candidate insights to the team based on conversations with the Candidate based on their desire to stay or leave their existing assignment.   

  • Hold all parties accountable to following the Redeployment process to increase our retention % as well as provide recruitment services to candidates that are not extending or wish not to remain on a project. 

  • Develop well written and compelling candidate presentations to showcase and highlight the match between the Payroll Redeployment Ready talent and our client's requirements. 

  • Act as a trusted advisor with the Talent Community and provide advice on resume building, market conditions, market rates and interview skills.  

  • Identify and adapt to changing market conditions, skills and clients based on current or changing conditions and learn how to react quickly to the change.     

  • Prioritize the key tasks and responsibilities of the role and be able to quickly zero in on the critical tasks while still accomplishing the goals within the role.  

  • Open to continuous learning and seeking feedback and advice when faced with new or challenging situations.  

 Skills and Knowledge Required:  

  • 2+ years of recruitment experience 

  • A desire to deliver a high-quality customer service experience to Contract Workers that meets their work goals and Procom's Client's goals for retaining and acquiring talent. 

  • Proven experience working within a team and creating positive work environment and communication. 

  • A track record of proactively developing relationships with passive and active candidates using a variety of methods, including cold calls, emails and referrals. 

  • Proven ability to utilize internal and online databases to source and identify candidates for current and future needs. 

  • Ability to deconstruct client job requirements into a targeted candidate search strategy. 

  • Working experience with an applicant tracking system (Bullhorn, etc.) 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that will enhance internal communication as well as delivering an above average presentation of candidates.
