310T Mechanic
Location: Whitby, ON
PWTransit is seeking an experienced 310T Mechanic to join our transit operation in Whitby, ON. This is full-time permanent position that will be responsible for maintenance of the Durham Transit fleet.
Responsibilities include:
- Safety
- Running and preventative repairs
- Parts procurement
- Record keeping
Compliance with Company policies and procedures as well as the Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations governing the location is a must.
Qualifications:
This job requires a 310T Truck and Coach Technician certificate and no more than 3 demerit points. The ideal candidate would have experience in conventional/custom transit or coach vehicle maintenance. The ability to work independently, strong time management skills and well-developed communication skills (both written and verbal) are a must to be successful in this position.
Preference will be given to candidates with a valid inspector's license and a commercial driver's license.
Comprehensive screening and background checks are required, including Drug, Alcohol and Criminal Record checks.
