What you will do

ResQ is recruiting an Engineering Manager to help lead our engineering team. Engineering managers at ResQ come from technical backgrounds so they intimately understand the craft of their team and are not afraid to get their hands dirty to help solve problems.

As an Engineering Manager at ResQ, you will be contributing in the following areas:

    • Mentoring Having been an engineer yourself, you are able to harness your past experience, both good and bad, to develop and grow the team around you.
    • Delivery You believe a good product is more than just writing code. You are able to guide the team through the software development lifecycle and give them the tools they need to be successful
    • Quality You understand the challenges of balancing short-term goals with the long-term health of the platform. You ensure that everything being built at ResQ lives up to the high technical bar we set for ourselves.
    • Hiring You are able to attract talent and build a team to execute our mission

About you

  • Proven team leadership skills allowing you to develop and mentor others while executing on broader engineering strategies
  • Proven technical background in either Backend, Frontend, or Mobile development, allowing you to build credibility with your team and dive into the code when necessary.
  • Familiarity with distributed and highly available systems
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders across the organization
  • A commitment to quality, technical excellence, and achieving company goals
