Agilus is recruiting for a Electrical Controls Designer in the Automation industry in Burlington, Ontario.
Our client in the automation material handling industry, located in the Burlington, ON area. This is an on-going contract opportunity. This position is remote work for the foreseeable future. Must be willing & able to travel within Canada & Internationally.
A typical day:

• Design, program and commission of various types of automation equipment
• Work in conjunction with Project Engineers and Mechanical Designers to design and develop
• Source new and improved components that will keep automation current
• Ensure that all aspects of the control equipment conform to the customer specifications.
• Be aware of budgetary concerns and maintain a constant effort to use cost efficient items.
• Perform shop equipment testing to ensure that equipment works as intended. Perform on site commissioning of equipment when required

Successful candidates will have:

• PLC and HMI programming (Allen Bradley – Rockwell Suite of software - Studio 5000 (formerly Factory Talk)
• 5 + years experience in Electrical Controls Design along with programming & commissioning of automation equipment.
• Control Logix Programming
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD
• Must be able & willing to travel within Canada & Internationally.

Total rewards:

• Hourly pay
• Currently remote work, return to office to be determined. Must be able to travel within Canada & Internationally
