Key Responsibilities• Participate in department specific Design Reviews with Engineering to ensure efficient designs for manufacture in the absence of Leadhand, and supervisor
• Provide assistance in the theory and practical applications of machining processes and best practices to members to the team respecting skill levels, with attention to safety, quality cost and timing
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system
• Ability to perform and assist with job setups in a safe manner.
• Ability to perform and assist with safely handling and manipulation of steel blocks and components with overhead cranes and lifting devices.
• Actively participate and Massiv's 5S requirements.
• Help drive the Freepoint initiatives for the future Gun Drill Department.
• Recognized Certificate of Qualification as Machinist/Toolmaker
• Previous experience with Tebis V3.5 r4 would be an asset
• Previous experience with Heidenhain iTNC 530 would be an asset
• Proven track record using the latest tooling and fixturing.
• Familiar with latest CNC Machining strategies.
• Gun Drill experience an asset
• Experience programming and using Lemoine RTM 2D/3D programming Software
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the theory and practical application of the machining procedures for CNC Gundrills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills and scheduling abilities
• Overtime may be required
